Hiya, sorry no I didn't mean writing about cats etc lol In the UK there's myself and one other blogger currently about 5 months into our paramedic degree courses (Me working to trainee EMT first, then EMT and Para, while his course skips the EMT grade altogether and goes straight to paramedic):

Both of our writing tends to be related to the field (most of the time).

Generally, people show up to read about people in the rescue business. Â Where the authors go with that is up to you.Â
The only things not allowed are:
*Columns that are just link sites for ads
*Columns that are just links to your personal web page. Â
Obviously everyone owns the copyright on their material and you can copy and paste stuff from your own web page here but you can't do a paragraph of an article here and then send people to your webpage to read the rest.  I am paying for hosting, development, bandwidth and marketing so people can have one place to go and read this great stuff, not so writers can drive traffic to their own sites at my expense.
You can certainly reference news or articles ( by html links ) in your writings and we have news feeds in the sidebar ----->Â
For the most part, communities police themselves.  If people write junk, no one will read it.  For good writers who are getting 50 readers a day on Blogger or AOL or wherever, you will suddenly get 1000s of readers - that means more comments and more interaction and that's why all of us write, really.

Hank,
"Emergency Services" is always a good title for the all encompassing fields of saving lives. Simple, straightforward, and to the point.

Couple of questions...
Seems like this will be a great site when its fully operational... looks great sofar. Read about it in my company news letter.
Out of curiosity though, how will HIPPA apply here? Obviously I wouldnt expect any of us to use the pts actual name and certain other info... but figured I should ask anyways, just curious.
Maybe I missed this in the TOS but whats with the math question Ive had to answer a couple of times so far?
Anyways, cant wait till things get going and there is more people. Look forward to frequenting here. Take care and keep up the good work.
Hi Chris, Once we go into
Hi Chris,
Once we go into beta the automatic spam bots try to post advertising links on your columns. Using a simple math question makes sure only humans can post comments.
What is HIPPA?
Oh ok...
That makes sence. I dont particularly care for spam... bots or the food.
Ooops oh yea I mean HIPAA. You know, the ones who make us take all thoes really boring classes and lectures lol to teach us common sence.
One other thing... I dont remember being prompted to set up a user name or password when I signed up here?
Oops
Disregard my username password problem I think I figured out what I did wrong. I entered my email address wrong when I registered, it should be 1985 not 85.

Cool site
Hi Hank, I came here from Kingmagic's site. Its a good idea and looks neat too, just a quick question though, are us students allowed to come in as well? Or must you be "proper" ambulance staff first?
